Available Setting: Minimum Interval Requirement
Did you know the PracticeQ team can enable a setting that requires a minimum interval between appointments? Keep reading to learn how this setting works and how it can support your scheduling needs.
There are three options available for this setting. If you would like our team to enable them for your account, please reach out to us at hello@intakeq.com.
Enable minimum interval between the service and other services
- This is helpful if you do not want clients to schedule Service B unless X days have passed since they were seen for Service A.
- By default, this is set to all services.
Apply requirement between two or more services
- This setting will enforce an interval between two or more services.
- Example:
- Covid Shot 1 can be scheduled at any time.
- Covid Shot 2 cannot be scheduled until at least 30 days after Covid Shot 1.
- Covid Booster cannot be scheduled until at least 6 months after Covid Shot 2.
- Example:
Require Prior Appointment
- This setting requires that one service type be scheduled before another service type can be booked.
- If this setting is applied to all services, then the first appointment must be manually booked by staff. Clients can book subsequent appointments on the booking widget.
- If this setting is applied to specific services, it will prevent booking until the dictated prerequisite is met.
- Example:
- Covid Shot 1 must be booked by staff.
- Covid Shot 2 cannot be booked until after Covid Shot 1 is booked.
- Covid Booster cannot be booked until after Covid Shot 2 is booked.
- Example:
- Prerequisites are individual.
- Example:
- Covid Shot 1 should only be associated with Covid Shot 2 and Covid Shot 2 should only be associated with the Covid Booster. Use staggered logic.
- Example:
NOTE: You can apply a 0 days interval to ensure clients schedule with the correct practitioner. For example, your admin can set up services for specific practitioners, such as 'New patient with Doctor x' and 'Returning patient with Doctor x.' Then, if you ONLY want the client to book with Doctor x, you can set the interval to 0 days for those specific services and set the 'Returning patient with Doctor x' service to require the prior appointment of 'New patient with Doctor x' or 'Returning patient with Doctor x' so that no one who isn't a patient of doctor x can book with them.
