Create Mapped Placeholders
IntakeQ/PracticeQ allows you to manually create placeholders for use in forms and notes.
IMPORTANT: We do not support placeholders in email communication, as they are not HIPAA-compliant.
Rules for Creating a Placeholder
- Capitalize only the first letter of each word. Example: [ClientName].
- Keep all other letters in lowercase.
- Do not use spaces; instead, start each new word with an uppercase letter.
- Ignore special characters.
Available Placeholders
- The placeholders below are available on all forms.
- If you have created custom fields in your client profile settings, you can use them as placeholders as well! Just follow the rules above.
NOTE: When creating a placeholder for a custom field, copy the exact spelling and capitalization you used when adding the field in your Profile Settings. This may mean you will have to ignore Rules 1 and 2. (For example, if the custom field is entered as Favorite color, the mapped placeholder would need to be [Favoritecolor].)
