Sync with Microsoft Outlook
Connect PracticeQ to your Outlook Calendar to sync appointments and show availability.
Sync Your Calendars
- Click Bookings → Booking Settings.
- Select the Sync tab.
- Click Connect with Outlook Calendar.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account. Enter your email address and password to connect your Microsoft account to PracticeQ.
- Once you have connected your account to PracticeQ, you will see more options appear under the Outlook Calendar section.
- You can then sync the calendars by returning to the Booking page, and clicking Filters on the right-hand side. When you do this, the following menu will appear.
Force PracticeQ to Re-Sync with Microsoft Calendar
- If for some reason your PracticeQ and Microsoft Outlook calendars disconnect or are not communicating with each other, re-sync the calendars by clicking the re-sync icon in the Filters menu.
- When you sync your calendar with PracticeQ, the events from your Outlook Calendar will appear on your PracticeQ calendar.
- And your appointments in PracticeQ will appear on your Outlook calendar.
Determine When Outlook Events Should Block Time in PracticeQ
If you want to ensure that the appointments in your booking widget are not scheduled during these events, set your Outlook events to Busy. PracticeQ will then see the status as busy, and not allow for appointments during that time slot.
- To set the status of your events to Busy, open your Outlook Calendar and click Edit on the event.
- Using the dropdown menu, set your Show as field to Busy.
- If you want to change this within PracticeQ, do this by selecting the Outlook event in PracticeQ, and clicking the checkbox next to This event should NOT block time on my Booking Widget. This will reverse the Busy status, and PracticeQ will book appointments during this event.
NOTE: The note field in the Add Appointment dialog will not export to the Outlook Calendar.
