Accept Gratuity Payments

Some clients would like to add a gratuity (tip) to their payment. PracticeQ's invoicing system has an option to allow clients to add a bonus/tip on top of the required fee.

Allow Tips for All Invoices

  1. Click Lists → Invoices → Invoice Settings.
  2. Select the Defaults tab.
  3. Check the box labeled Allow Tips.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Note: When you enable the tip setting, only invoices created from that point on will have the gratuity option. It does not impact already created invoices.

Allow Tips on a Single Invoice

  1. Click Lists → Invoices.
  2. Open the invoice.
  3. Click Action → Edit Invoice.
  4. In the lower left corner, select Options.
  5. Check the box labeled Allow Tips.

Below is an example of the tip field added to an invoice in the back-end, which is what your office staff will see when processing a payment:
