How to Create an Appointment Without an Email Address

Are you looking to book appointments for clients that don't have an email address? By default the IntakeQ booking systems asks for a Name and Email Address from the client who is booking, but you can enable a setting on your account that will allow bookings without an email address. This is useful in cases where you may be working with older clients who don't use email.

Here are the steps to enable this option:

  1. Navigate to "More > Settings".
  2. Go to the "Settings" tab on the left side of the screen.
  3. Find the option labelled "Allow Appointments without Email" and check the box beside it.
  4. Be sure to click "Saved" in the bottom right corner, or give the system a few second to auto-save that setting adjustment.

Once this is enabled, team members (your staff) will then have the option to schedule appointments for clients without providing an email. This doesn't change the functionality in the booking widget, clients still need to enter an email address when scheduling online themselves. Take note that clients without an email address will not be able to manage appointments or receive scheduled emails.
