How to Disable the Booking Widget
IntakeQ's booking widget allows your clients to book appointments online. In some situations you may want to control all of the bookings and not allow your clients to book for themselves. In these cases the account administrator will want to disable the booking widget by following the steps below:
- Navigate to "Bookings > Booking Settings > Settings".
- Find the option labelled "Disable Booking Widget" and check it off.

Click "Save" in the bottom right corner of the page to be sure this change takes effect, it will auto-save after a few seconds though typically.
With the booking widget disabled you can still manually schedule appointments using the back-end calendar, but your clients cannot schedule appointments online.
Disabling Bookings in the Client Portal
If you are using the secure client portal and allow bookings, disabling the booking widget doesn't stop it from functioning in the portal. You can disable this though as well if you'd like. Simply click the message chat icon in the main navigation bar and then click "Settings" in the top right corner of the portal. From there go to the "Portal Features" tab and uncheck the option labelled "Allow clients to book appointments in my portal."
