Marking a Client Portal Channel as Unread

Situations may arise where you'd like to mark a client's secure portal channel as unread. Marking a channel as unread does two things: One is that it adds an "unread" tag next to the client name in the portal client list; the second is that the portal icon in the main menu bar will show the number of unread channels.

To mark a channel as unread, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the client portal and select the applicable client from the list on the left.
  2. In the upper right corner of the page, click the circle button with three dots, then select "Mark as Unread".

  3. You'll now see the unread tag for that client's channel, and also it'll add 1 to the unread portal messages icon.

Note that the read/unread status of a channel is handled on a per-user basis. So if you mark a channel as unread, it will not affect its status for other users in your team.
