Marking a Client Portal Channel as Unread
Situations may arise where you'd like to mark a client's secure portal channel as unread. Marking a channel as unread does two things: One is that it adds an "unread" tag next to the client name in the portal client list; the second is that the portal icon in the main menu bar will show the number of unread channels.
To mark a channel as unread, follow the steps below:
- Open the client portal and select the applicable client from the list on the left.
- In the upper right corner of the page, click the circle button with three dots, then select "Mark as Unread".
- You'll now see the unread tag for that client's channel, and also it'll add 1 to the unread portal messages icon.
Note that the read/unread status of a channel is handled on a per-user basis. So if you mark a channel as unread, it will not affect its status for other users in your team.
