Import Diagnostic Codes

Superbills require diagnostic codes. PracticeQ does not have any pre-programmed code sets, but you can easily import your own list of diagnostic codes and descriptions from a CSV file.

Save the CSV File

• Create a CSV file containing the diagnostic codes you wish to import. Please do not attempt to import the entire list of ICD-10 codes.
• The CSV file needs to contain a top row with two columns, one labeled Code and the other labeled Description. Below is a screenshot of a sample spreadsheet file set up in the proper way.
• Save the file as a .csv file (as opposed to a normal spreadsheet file).

Import the CSV File

1. Click Lists → Invoices → Invoice Settings.
2. Select the Superbill tab.
3. Scroll down to the Diagnostic Coding heading. Click Manage Diagnosis Codes.
4. You will see a list of diagnosis codes already added. Click Upload List.
5. Select the .csv file from your computer, and the upload process will begin.
