ePrescribe - Adding A Collaborating MD

Collaborating MDs are used in Eprescribe when you need to prescribe all or certain prescriptions under another prescriber.

This is not to be confused with a Supervisor, which only have their information listed on the prescription.

Having the Collaborating MD in your account allows you to Queue prescriptions to their Queues for approval.

Step One:

- Add the Collaborating MD as an assistant to your account. This is will allow them to have a FREE account with you to login to PracticeQ and approve the queued prescriptions on your behalf.

- Go to More > Team > Assistants Tab and Invite the Collaborating MD via their preferred email. NOTE - Emails can only be used once in all of PracticeQ. Over all accounts. If your Collaborating MD is already using their preferred email for another account please reach out to Hello@intakeq.com for support.

Step Two:

Once the Collaborating MD has accepted the invitation to PracticeQ, you will need to invite them to use Eprescribe.

Go to More > Eprescribe > Down, closer to the bottom you will see the area for assistants. Use this area to choose the type of access to Eprescribe they should have. You can choose for basic admin access, full admin access, or just normal access by keeping this option as none.

NOTE - To be approved for EPCS you need the assistant to have full admin access.

Step Three:

Once your Collaborating MD is now active in the Eprescribe account, you will need to change them from a supporting user to a prescriber type. Dont worry, this will not charge your account monthly as if they are a prescriber. What this is does is allows your Collaborating MD to add their credentials that will be needed when prescribing.

To do this go to More > Eprescribe > Open app. Then go to your name in the top right-hand corner. Here you can access your settings.

Once you open your settings click on the option to manage users and locations. Then click on the location to view.

Here you will scroll down to the users listed for this location. Click on the Collaborating MDs name to open their profile. Click edit in the top right hand corner. Then you will see the option to select them to be a prescriber. T hen you will enter their NPI, DEA, and state license number. Then save.

NOTE: Make sure this Collaborating MD is registered to the location now.

Step Four:

ID.me. - Your Collaborating MD will need to verify their identity through ID.me. They can do this by going to More > Eprescribe > Open app. Then they will be prompted to continue with the ID.me verification.

NOTE - If they already have an ID.me account, there is a link there for existing accounts. Once done with ID.me, you will need to go into your Eprescribe account and approve the request for EPCS that will now appear. If you have trouble with this or do not have the prompt - please email Hello@intakeq.com.

Step Five:

Once the Collaborating MD is active in Eprescribe and has finished ID.me, you will now need to request access to prescribe for them. This allows you to Queue prescriptions to them for approval.

In your own Eprescribe account, click on the Provider tab up top. Click request. You should see the Collaborating MDs name here. Then request access.

Once you have done this, please have the Collaborating MD go into More > Eprescribe and grant you access. There will be a little bar on the top of the screen asking them to approve this.

Now you are done. If you have any issues please reach out to our support email Hello@intakeq.com.
