Engage - Review the Opt Out List

The Opt Out list shows you clients who have declined Engage services. Clients can opt themselves out, or you can do it on their behalf.

Access the Opt Out List:

  1. Click Engage from your PracticeQ toolbar.
  2. Click Review Management Settings.
  3. Find Opt Out List; click Manage.


Add Clients to the Opt Out List:

  1. Click Engage from your PracticeQ toolbar.
  2. Click Patients.
  3. Find the client in the list and click the pencil icon
  4. Open the dropdown menu in the Opted Out Products column.
  5. Place a checkmark next to each item for which you wish to opt out the client.
  6. Click the checkmark icon to save.
  7. You will see each opted out product appear as an icon in the Opted Out Products column.


Direct Clients to Opt Themselves Out of Receiving Texts:

When clients wish to stop receiving texts from Engage, they can opt themselves out. They simply need to respond to a text message with one of the following keywords:

  • STOP
  • CANCEL
  • UNSUBSCRIBE
  • STOPALL
  • END
  • QUIT

Once a client opts out, only they can opt back in. They must reply in the same text thread with one of the following keywords:

  • START
  • UNSTOP
  • YES

    What if a client has erased the original text thread on their phone?

    • Provide them with the location's outgoing number. You can find this by going to Location Details → General and referencing the Texting Phone field.
    • Ask the client to send one of the opt in words listed above to the Texting Phone number.
