Issue a Refund for a Credit

Does your client have a credit on their account at discharge? Issue the refund and track it in PracticeQ.

  1. Click Lists → Clients and open the client's profile.
  2. Select the Invoices tab.
  3. Confirm that the client has Credit Balance.

  4. Refund the client by issuing a check or an EFT payment.
  5. Once the client has been refunded, click the Credit Balance link.
  6. In the Credit Balance window, enter the amount refunded as a negative amount.

  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Close.
  9. The Credit Balance amount will no longer reflect a credit.
