PracticeQ Payments: Avoid Risk Holds
Stax will put a risk hold on your PracticeQ Payments account when they see suspicious activity.
Stax, the payment processor for PracticeQ Payments, monitors your account to protect you against fraud. If your account is put on a risk hold, Stax will pause payment settlements to your bank account until the issue is resolved.
Avoid a Risk Hold
- Do not process payments on the signor's credit card.
- Do not process payments higher than the maximum payment amount you specified in your PracticeQ Payments application.
- Make sure that your practice bank account always carries, at minimum, a balance equaling your maximum payment amount. This protects you against unexpected refunds and ensures you will be able to pay processing fees.
- Keep Stax aware of your updated back information
We're Under a Risk Hold - Now What?
- The PracticeQ Support Team will inform you of the risk hold.
- The Support Team will request current bank statements.
- You will likely need to re-evaluate and re-submit your annual revenue, largest transaction amount, and average transaction amount so Stax can re-assess your account.
