Overlapping Appointments

PracticeQ allows you to overlap appointments to maximize your schedule.

It's useful to overlap appointments in situations such as when your appointment duration is 45 minutes, but you want to book clients every 30 minutes. In that case, when a client books an appointment for 9:30am, your booking widget will show 10am as the next available spot, even though the appointment duration is 45 min.

IMPORTANT: This setting will not work if your Appointments Start setting is set to Based on Session Duration.

Set Up Overlapping Appointments

1. Click Bookings → Booking Settings. 
2. Select the Services tab.
3. Click Edit next to the service for which you want to allow overlapping.
4. Select the Advanced tab on the left.
5. Fill in the number of minutes for which this service should block practitioners.
6. There is an option to block the last portion of the appointment, as by default, the time block applies from the start of the appointment. Check this option if needed.

This same feature can be used to block appointments for a longer period. For example, you could have an appointment that is 60 minutes long, but block your time for 75 minutes.
