Map a Custom Field to Client Profiles

Is there a field you would like to see when you view a client's Basic Information? Create and map your own Custom Field.

Create your Custom Field:

1. Go to Lists → Clients.
2. Click Profile Settings on the top right.
3. In the Custom Fields tab, click + Add New Field.
4. In the Field Name field, give the field the title you want to see in the client's Basic Information page.
5. In the Field Type field, select the question type that will be used in the Questionnaire/Widget field. If the Field Type is set as a Text Box here, it must also be set as a Text Box in the Questionnaire form.
6. If you select Dropdown List, the list options will appear and you can select the possible answers that will be displayed on the client Basic Information page. This field will also be pulled and used automatically for a mapped custom booking widget field.
7. For Width, you can typically keep the default of 1/3 unless your field requires more space.
8. Click Save Settings.

9. A window will display alerting you that the new field will apply to the profiles of all clients. If you agree to this, click Yes.

Map your Custom Field:

1. Click My Forms.

2. Open the form to which you wish to map the custom field.

3. Click the question before where you want your new question to appear. For example, if you want your question to be #12, click question #11.

4. Click the gray plus sign icon and select Add Blank Question.

5. For Question Type, select Mixed Controls.

6. Enter Block instructions if desired.

7. Type the question in the Item field. 

8. Click the gear wheel icon for the Item.

9. In the Profile Mapping dropdown menu, select your new Custom Field.

10. Click OK.

Your Custom Field and each client response will now appear on the client Basic Information page!
