ePrescribe: Prescribe a Compound

Once you have created a compound medication in ScriptSure, follow these instructions to prescribe it to a client.

1. Click Lists → Clients.

2. Select the Prescription tab.

3. The client's profile will open in the ScriptSure interface.

4. Click Prescribe New Drug. 

5. Click the Compound/Specialty button.

6. Select the medication you would like to prescribe from the list. If you do not see the compound you need, follow the steps in the article ePrescribe: Set Up a Compound.

7. The  Compound Selection window will display. Click Select for the dosage you wish to prescribe.

8. The Create Compound preview window will display:

• Verify and/or modify any fields prior to sending the prescription.  
• Set a pharmacy destination and address any blank fields.

9. Click Send to Pharmacy or Queue to Provider for Approval to complete the process.
