Manage a Client's Credit Cards
Connecting your PracticeQ account with an integrated payment provider allows you to securely store your client's credit cards on file.
There are five ways to capture credit card information in PracticeQ.
1. Have the client book and pay for an appointment online
When a client enters their credit card number to schedule an appointment using your booking widget, PracticeQ stores that number in your payment provider's account and links it to that client.
2. Send an embedded credit card form
This method is commonly used as part of the intake process. You can embed a credit card form within your Financial Agreement contract, allowing the client to enter their credit card number and sign your financial agreement in a single form. The credit card is then stored in your payment provider's account and you can use it to charge the client later. 3. Create an appointment charge manually
If a client calls or is in the office scheduling an appointment, you can ask for their credit card details and enter them manually, without leaving your PracticeQ Calendar. Read this article for more information: Charge a Credit Card Manually for an Appointment.
4. Send an invoice to the client
PracticeQ allows you to send payable online invoices to your clients, making it easier for you to get paid. When a client enters their credit card to pay for an invoice, that card is stored on file for subsequent charges. Read more in the following article: Send Invoices to Clients.
5. Enter the credit card information in the Client Profile
The Cards tab in the Client Profile allows you to add and remove credit cards for any given client. When a credit card is captured using any of the methods described above, it will show up in this list.
Note that you can set a client's credit card as preferred in the client's timeline.
