Engage - Set Up Your Missed Appointment Message

Notify clients when they miss appointments. Customize your missed appointment messages and decide when they send.

Access Your Missed Appointment Message Settings:

1. Click Engage from your PracticeQ toolbar.
2. Click Templates → Appointments.
3. Scroll down to Missed Appointment Message.
4. Click the gear wheel icon to the right of the message title.
5. Check off the Contact Methods you wish to use. You can send a Text, an Email, or both.
6. The default setting is 1 day after the appointment. Adjust this if desired.
7. Under Weekday Settings, click the Enabled button under any day of the week you do NOT wish for this message to send, such as Saturdays and/or Sundays. The label under the selected days will change to Disabled.

8. Click SAVE.

Customize Your Missed Notice Message:

1. Click Templates → Appointments.
2. Scroll down to Missed Notice (or its Friendly Name).
3. Click on the Contact Method you wish to edit, such as Text.
4. Edit the message in the text box. Add or remove Variables to your liking. A preview of your message will display on the right.

Note: Do not remove the STOPtoOptOut wording at the end of the message. This verbiage is necessary to offer clients a chance to opt out of messaging.

5. Click SAVE.
