Engage - Send a Message in the Patient Communicator Use the two-way texting feature to text a client or contact in the Patient Communicator. Click Engage from your PracticeQ toolbar. Click Patient Communicator. Click Start Conversation. If the contact is an existing client, click in the Existing Patient field and begin typing the name of the client. A minimum of three letters is required to produce a list of search results. Select the name you want from the list. The message history with this contact will fill the screen. If the contact is not an existing client, enter the number in the Phone number field. If Engage recognizes the number as textable, the Name field will open. Enter the contact name and a new thread will open in the Patient Communicator. Message Options To send a free-form message, place your cursor in the message box and type your message. To use a message template, click the three lines icon and select a template from the list. To insert an image, click the portrait icon. To use a quick action (such as sending a review request), click the thunderbolt icon and select an action. To insert an emoji, click the smiley face icon. Click SEND to send the message immediately, or select an option to send it in the future. Message Types To see if a previously sent message was automated or free-form, refer to the icon on the right.
